Hornbeck Seed Company, Inc. was established in 1980 and has grown today into one of the Mid-South’s largest and most reputable seed suppliers. Providing high quality seed and excellent service is the cornerstone of the business. Hornbeck Seed sells its exclusive line of HBK brand soybean and wheat products, along with rice and corn seed. Our seed lines, along with our truck fleet, and excellent customer service staff make a combination that is hard to beat in today’s market place.
Worldwide SoyTechnologies, LLC was established in 1992 and is the research and development division of the group. We breed and test thousands of lines each year to provide the farmer with the best yielding and disease resistant lines available on the market today. Our trait marketing department has lines available to be licensed to eligible companies, worldwide. SoyTec has many trait systems currently in testing and development and continues to look for opportunities in the market. SoyTec has breeders, pathologists, DNA specialists, and a full staff of research assistants to help maintain the thousands of newly developed lines.
Hornbeck Brothers Farms was established in 1990 as a full-scale farming operation with more than 3,500 acres in production. Growing seed production of rice, soybean, wheat and corn, our farming operation has the ability to test all new product lines before commercial release and full scale production. Being farmers ourselves, we fully understand what is needed in today’s farming economy and the varieties needed to provide the farmer with the best yields. Our farming operation has always been the starting point of our company’s success.
